Canada TSB Undertaking Special Study of Air-taxi Safety
Despite attention given to critical safety issues involving air taxi flights, the sector continues to have the highest number of commercial accidents.

Canada’s Transportation Safety Board (TSB) is conducting a special study of air-taxi operations following its collection of data that shows over the last 15 years, the segment has seen 813 accidents resulting in 242 fatalities (an average of 16.1 annually) and 162 serious injuries. These deaths represent 62 percent of all commercial aviation fatalities.
