Engine Assurance Program extended its hourly engine maintenance coverage to include the Pratt &amp; Whitney Canada PW535E/E1 and Rolls-Royce Tay 611-8C, which power the Phenom 300/300E and Gulfstream G450, respectively.
“When EAP began 10 years ago, it covered several variants of the TFE731. Today, we cover all variants of the TFE731 plus numerous General Electric, Pratt &amp; Whitney Canada, Honeywell, and Rolls-Royce engines,” said EAP managing director Sean Lynch. The Dallas-based company recently enrolled its 350th engine or APU.
Notably, the company operates a rental engine pool and spare parts inventory to support aircraft-on-ground situations. EAP dispatches technicians with needed parts when possible to reduce downtime, rather than requiring assessment visits followed by parts orders and return trips.
Fleet operators using multiple engine types can use one maintenance program instead of managing multiple manufacturer-specific plans, Lynch said. The company is not affiliated with any engine manufacturer.
Depending on the plan, coverage can include scheduled and unscheduled work, life-limited components, line maintenance, trend analysis, and catastrophic failures, EAP said.
