Business aviation services provider Sun Air Jets is adding 62,000 sq ft of terminal and hangar space at California's Van Nuys Airport (VNY). The two new hangars and terminal will be available for use by managed aircraft clients and tenants starting in June.

The company, which is headquartered at nearby Camarillo Airport, has occupied 42,000 sq ft of hangar space on the Signature Flight Support leasehold at VNY for its aircraft management operation. It will more than double that space after securing two new hangars now under construction by Aeroplex Group on the northwest corner of the airport, also on the Signature leasehold. According to Sun Air Jets, the new hangars and terminal—constructed to meet California’s green building standards—will feature a solar roof system that complies with Los Angeles World Airports’ sustainable energy program.
