Airport infrastructure developer and hangar keeper SR Aviation Infrastructure (SRAI), has broken ground on a $22 million project at Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (KLAS).

SRAI acquired the 23-acre property, with 268,000 sq ft of hangar space and 32,000 sq ft of office space, in 2024. The company will demolish 14 small hangars totaling 61,000 sq ft by year-end and replace them with three 25,000 sq ft hangars, equipped with ample office space 30-foot-high doors capable of accommodating the latest ultra-long-range business jets.

According to SRAI president Jonathon Reeser, the hangars are suitable for corporations, high net worth individuals, and/or charter companies. One of the three hangars—slated for completion in the first quarter of 2028—has already been leased, while there is strong interest in the remaining two.

While the KLAS facility was SRAI’s first, it has five others, three operational: Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (KBZN) in Montana and San Antonio International Airport (KSAT), along with Las Vegas; and three under development at Glacier Park International (KGPI) in Montana, at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (KBJC) outside of Denver, and at Republic Airport (KFRG) on New York’s Long Island.

“Las Vegas is where SRAI began, and this groundbreaking marks a significant milestone for our platform,” said Reeser. “We launched SRAI to address a clear supply-demand imbalance driven by growing private aviation activity.”
