Revised ATP Type Rating Standards Proposed

Standards provide the aeronautical knowledge, risk management, and flight proficiency elements necessary for ATP flight training and testing.

A proposal by the FAA/industry rulemaking advisory committee (ARAC) to revise the Airline Transport Pilot type rating airman certification standards (ACS) has been published for comments. The standards, which have not been updated in more than 10 years, provide the aeronautical knowledge, risk management, and flight proficiency elements necessary for pilots to meet ATP flight training and test requirements.
