SheltAir Aviation plans to finish its new FBO at Savannah Hilton Head International Airport around the end of the year and open for service early next year. The Savannah FBO will include a 7,000-sq-ft terminal and one hangar, and SheltAir is investing $7 million in the Savannah facility, which will finally make the airport a two-FBO field.

The FBO company is also working on projects at other airports, including an 80,000-sq-ft hangar, 10,000-sq-ft office and five-acre ramp complex nearing completion at St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport in Florida. SheltAir recently opened a 13,000-sq-ft hangar at its Daytona Beach, Fla. FBO. By year-end, SheltAir will have finished 20,000 sq ft of new hangar space and 2,400 sq ft of associated office space at Orlando International Airport.
