New POI Guidance Drafted for Cat II/III Approvals

This revision is mandatory, the agency said, with a compliance date of six months from the date of the final notice.

A new draft FAA notice revises guidance for principal operations inspectors (POIs) who have oversight responsibility for: operations specifications; management specifications; and letters of authorization requirements applicable to aircraft operators seeking Category II and III instrument approach and landing authorizations.
