A lifelong aviation enthusiast who joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in 2007, Curt came to&nbsp;the publication&nbsp;from the broadcast industry where he was a national science and technology television reporter and producer. He writes on the FBO field, aviation finance, and sustainable aviation and occasionally contributes to&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;sister publication&nbsp;Business Jet Traveler. Curt was a member of the AINtv reporting staff that won the 2008 Aerospace Journalist of the Year award for Best Airshow Daily. That same year, he was a finalist for another AJOYA award. He earned an AJOYA for Best Business Aviation Submission in 2018 and was a finalist in that category in 2021. He received the National Air Transportation Association’s&nbsp; Aviation Journalist Award in 2012 and won a Pegasus Sapphire Business Aviation Award for outstanding journalism in 2021.
Before joining AIN, Curt worked with&nbsp;Consumer Reports’ television division, CRTV, and for several local television news staffs. An honors graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he earned a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University in 1995. Curt lives in New York State with his wife and two young sons.

<a href="https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/business-aviation/2024-05-01/big-changes-ahead-airport-operated-cerulean-general">Cerulean Aviation</a>, the airport-operated FBO at South Carolina’s Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (KGSP), has completed a $15 million terminal renovation and expansion. The project, which began in April 2024, saw the building nearly triple in size to 12,700 sq ft, with an upgraded interior and exterior, expanded lobby and customer service areas, new restrooms, and&nbsp;airlocks at the land and airside entrances to enhance climate control in the building.
Amenities include a refreshment bar, private lounge areas, conference rooms, and a pilot lounge with snooze rooms and shower facilities.&nbsp;Outside, a vehicle canopy was added to the main entry, and the auto parking layout was redesigned to improve traffic flow and support future development.
“We launched Cerulean Aviation in 2016 with the goal of providing personalized, world-class ground support and fueling services for both general and corporate aviation customers,” said Dave Edwards, president and CEO of the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport District. “This renovation is part of our commitment to delivering the highest level of service to all who pass through our FBO.” He added that the expansion will not only improve the experience for current customers but also position the facility to meet future demand.
