FBO Changes Hands at Charlotte Douglas International
Modern Aviation won the RFP process in March

At the end of June, operation of the sole FBO at Charlotte Douglas International Airport will shift from long-time incumbent Wilson Air to Modern Aviation, which triumphed in the airport's selection process.

Modern Aviation has taken over operations as the sole business aviation services provider at North Carolina’s Charlotte Douglas International Airport (KCLT). In March, the growing FBO chain was declared the winner of the airport’s RFP process to manage the facility, nudging out long-time incumbent Wilson Jet Center.

“As we look to the future with Modern Aviation, we are excited to introduce a new era of private aviation in Charlotte—one driven by innovation, elevated service, and a focus on exceeding the evolving needs of our customers,” said Ted Kaplan, KCLT’s chief business and innovation officer.
