A lifelong aviation enthusiast who joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in 2007, Curt came to&nbsp;the publication&nbsp;from the broadcast industry where he was a national science and technology television reporter and producer. He writes on the FBO field, aviation finance, and sustainable aviation and occasionally contributes to&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;sister publication&nbsp;Business Jet Traveler. Curt was a member of the AINtv reporting staff that won the 2008 Aerospace Journalist of the Year award for Best Airshow Daily. That same year, he was a finalist for another AJOYA award. He earned an AJOYA for Best Business Aviation Submission in 2018 and was a finalist in that category in 2021. He received the National Air Transportation Association’s&nbsp; Aviation Journalist Award in 2012 and won a Pegasus Sapphire Business Aviation Award for outstanding journalism in 2021.
Before joining AIN, Curt worked with&nbsp;Consumer Reports’ television division, CRTV, and for several local television news staffs. An honors graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he earned a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University in 1995. Curt lives in New York State with his wife and two young sons.

Atlantic Aviation has debuted its new FBO at Nashville International Airport (KBNA). The 12,000-sq-ft terminal <a href="https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/business-aviation/2023-03-08/atlantic-aviation-track-new-fbo-nashville">replaces</a> the former 8,600-sq-ft structure that was demolished earlier this year to make room for additional ramp space.
In addition to the lobby waiting area, the facility features a private VIP passenger lounge with direct ramp access, a business center furnished with the latest technology, two conference rooms, an expanded crew lounge with quiet rooms and shower facilities, a well-stocked refreshment bar, dining/food vending area, and a porte-cochère to protect customers from the elements.
In addition, the now nearly 25-acre complex includes a newly-built 30,000-sq-ft heated hangar that can handle the latest ultra-long-range business jets and features a separate ramp with bus access and walk-through security screening to accommodate sports team charters and other high-capacity flights. This brings the facility to 80,000 sq ft of hangar space.
As part of the FBO’s redevelopment, the company also replaced the fuel farm, which can now handle 60,000 gallons of jet-A and 10,000 gallons of avgas.
On the staff side, the LEED-certified terminal also has an expanded training area and unobstructed views of the ramp to enhance accessibility and safety.
