A lifelong aviation enthusiast who joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in 2007, Curt came to&nbsp;the publication&nbsp;from the broadcast industry where he was a national science and technology television reporter and producer. He writes on the FBO field, aviation finance, and sustainable aviation and occasionally contributes to&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;sister publication&nbsp;Business Jet Traveler. Curt was a member of the AINtv reporting staff that won the 2008 Aerospace Journalist of the Year award for Best Airshow Daily. That same year, he was a finalist for another AJOYA award. He earned an AJOYA for Best Business Aviation Submission in 2018 and was a finalist in that category in 2021. He received the National Air Transportation Association’s&nbsp; Aviation Journalist Award in 2012 and won a Pegasus Sapphire Business Aviation Award for outstanding journalism in 2021.
Before joining AIN, Curt worked with&nbsp;Consumer Reports’ television division, CRTV, and for several local television news staffs. An honors graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he earned a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University in 1995. Curt lives in New York State with his wife and two young sons.

Ohio State University Airport (KOSU) is the latest location to join the Avfuel-branded dealer network. The fourth-busiest airfield in the state, it is owned by The Ohio State University, making it one of a handful of airports in the country operated by universities.
A dedicated general aviation airport, and a general aviation reliever for John Glenn Columbus International Airport, KOSU is located just seven&nbsp;miles from the main campus&nbsp;and 10 miles from the downtown Columbus business district. It houses the university’s aeronautics and aviation campus, including its full-service FBO.
The modern terminal features a glass-enclosed atrium with an indoor observation deck. Other amenities include a pilot lounge, snooze rooms, shower facilities, pilot shop, onsite car rental, complimentary snacks, and crew cars.
KOSU's staff is NATA Safety 1st-certified, and Mark Fletcher, general manager of the FBO and manager of airport services, said&nbsp;he looks forward to enhancing that with the fuel provider’s online training system. “This whole airport is a classroom, so the fuel safety training Avfuel makes available is a value-add for our staff and student employees,” he explained, adding that Avfuel contract fuel will be a benefit for many of the university’s collaborators and corporate partners visiting the campus. The location will also participate in Avfuel’s customer loyalty program.
