Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

The European Aviation Safety Agency has approved the installation of the Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion upgrade on Pro Line II-equipped Beechcraft King Air B200 and B300 series aircraft, the company announced. This comes two years after the U.S. FAA certified the upgrade.

 


The package, which includes ADS-B Out-compliant equipment, SBAS-GNSS, LPV-capabilities, and synthetic vision, among other updates, provides the same icon-based touchscreen technology found on new-production King Airs, Rockwell Collins said. It also swaps out the original flight displays with three 14.1-inch widescreen LCDs with advanced graphics, configurable windows, and touchscreens.

 


Amsterdam-based JetSupport BV completed the first King Air B200 Pro Line Fusion upgrade in Europe, completing the initial flight of the aircraft on September 4. “The installation completed by JetSupport is proof of the trust customers have in the Pro Line Fusion product, as well as the quality work provided by Rockwell Collins dealers located around the world,” said Didier Perrin, senior director of commercial sales and services for Rockwell Collins in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. “Pro Line Fusion breathes new life into these aircraft, bringing compliance with airspace mandates, and sets the stage for flying in the Single European Sky.”

 


Rockwell Collins has developed the Pro Line Fusion upgrade on a range of King Air models, including both those originally equipped with Pro Line II and Pro Line 21 flight decks.
