Several completion and refurbishment centers are preparing infrastructure enhancements and consolidation to meet shifting demand for services. Spirit Aeronautics of Columbus, Ohio, is adding a 17,860-sq-ft hangar to its Port Columbus International Airport campus to support the expansion of its refurbishment services. 
<address style="text-indent:31.5pt;line-height:200%">“Demand in the area for high-quality interior refurbishment service on business aircraft is growing, and we are expanding to meet the need,” said Tony Bailey, president of Spirit Aeronautics. “The space allows us to lay out full Challenger-, Global- and Gulfstream-size interiors and work concurrently on different elements of a project, reducing aircraft down time.”</address>
Meanwhile, aviation services provider Nordam is consolidating its Wichita business jet design and production facility into the interiors and structures division at its Tulsa, Okla. headquarters. CEO Meredith Siegfried cited retrenchment in the light to midsize business jet market as prompting the move and Phil Marshall, interiors and structures division v-p and general manager, said the consolidation “should not be viewed as a reflection on the quality and caliber of our stakeholders in Wichita.”
