Total worldwide avionics sales amounted to more than $1.6 billion in the second quarter, according to the latest figures from the Aircraft Electronics Association. The quarterly report includes forward-fit and retrofit avionics sales from 20 aviation electronics manufacturers. According to AEA, the second-quarter sales were 5 percent less than the approximately $1.7 billion in sales recorded in the first quarter.
