Ross Aviation Acquires New FBO, Adds New Hangar

Ross Aviation has bolstered its West Coast holdings with the purchase of Tradition Aviation, one of the three service providers at Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport in Thermal, Calif. The Palm Springs-area airport has an 8,500-foot main runway and a 4,995-foot secondary runway.

The FBO, which says it specializes in quick turns, has 100,000 sq ft of hangar space and 360,000 sq ft of ramp parking. Its line service technician staff is NATA Safety 1st certified. The VIP terminal features a pilots’ lounge, flight-planning room, business center, Wi-Fi, airside limousine service and crew cars. As is customary with Ross locations, the FBO will retain its present management (in this case, Penny Nelson and Ann Goodwyn) as well as its name, while receiving network benefits and capital for possible expansion.
