JetTech of Littleton, Colo., said it is developing a glass-panel upgrade for the Cessna Citation 501/551 series based on the Garmin G600. The $62,900 upgrade kit will include the cockpit displays, an air-data interface unit, pre-cut instrument panel, pitot-static plumbing and fittings, wiring harness and solid-state AHRS, the company said. JetTech plans to begin installations once it has obtained the FAA STC for the installation. The company will then make kits available to other Citation I/SP and II/SP operators through approved Garmin dealers. Featuring dual 6.5-inch-diagonal LCDs, the G600 upgrade adds capabilities for synthetic vision, terrain awareness, traffic avoidance, satellite weather and lightning strike data. The installation uses the airplane’s existing RVSM equipment and Garmin GNS 430/530 GPS/navcoms. The upgrade is expected to take 15 days to complete.
