Lufthansa Technik’s NICE (Network Integrated Cabin Equipment) system became standard equipment on Bombardier Challenger 300s delivered from the Montreal manufacturing plant starting last month, and eight have been delivered with the equipment installed.

The NICE system, which is built at Lufthansa Technik’s facility in Hamburg, Germany, uses its Ethernet network cabin functions to control and coordinate audio/video and to process digital data. Passengers or crew can regulate cabin temperature, ventilation, lighting and all on-board entertainment and communications systems via remote-control units within the seat or on a wireless touch screen.
