Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

Deutsche Aircraft/ Dornier Do-328 and 328JET

Acron Aviation signed a long-term agreement to supply flight recorders and standby equipment for the next-generation Deutsche Aircraft D328eco regional turboprop. The agreement comes as Deutsche Aircraft progresses toward a first flight of the D238eco 40-seat turboprop this year, with planned entry into service by the end of 2027. The aircraft incorporates advanced technologies to reduce emissions, improve fuel efficiency, and enhance economic performance.
“This agreement represents more than a supplier relationship; it is the beginning of a long-term partnership built on shared values, innovation, and a commitment to advancing regional aviation,” said Acron Aviation president Ron Nye. “As one of Europe’s most forward-looking aircraft manufacturers, Deutsche Aircraft is helping redefine sustainable regional flight.”
Acron Aviation’s 25-hour recorder and standby equipment is designed to meet evolving regulatory and operational requirements with improved life cycle performance, the St. Petersburg, Florida, company said.
“Building strong, long-term relationships with suppliers is fundamental to the success of the D328eco program,” said Patricia Ferrari, v-p of supply chain for Deutsche Aircraft. “Acron Aviation’s extensive expertise in safety-critical avionics systems and their proven track record makes them an important partner as we continue to mature our industrial ecosystem.”
Acron Aviation is part of a portfolio of companies under Acron Technologies, which was formed through the sale of L3Harris Commercial Aviation Solutions to private equity group TJC in 2025. At the time, the company rebranded L3 to Acron Aviation. Acron Aviation was combined with other TJC properties. Now that overarching entity is rolling out its new corporate brand and, in tandem, launching an updated website and LinkedIn presence. &nbsp;

While Acron Technologies is the parent rebrand, each portfolio company will continue to operate under its own name as an independent entity. Alongside Acron Aviation, other portfolio companies include ACR Electronics, APS Aerospace, NAL Technologies, Trakka Systems, Ocean Signal, Digital Barriers, Alereon, Sightline Intelligence, Flight Data Systems, Artex, FreeFlight Systems, and Skytrac.
“Each of these companies has built its reputation over years, in some cases decades, of work in their respective fields,” Crawford said. “Our new website and LinkedIn presence give customers, partners, and the industry a single place to see the full breadth of what the Acron Technologies portfolio offers, while every portfolio company keeps its own name and identity in the market.”
