GE Aerospace Taps UK Provider for Helo Engine Parts

Company says the deal will support rotorcraft operators and the local industry

GE Aerospace CT7 engine — Under a new deal with GE Aerospace Barnes Aerospace's UK facility at Newton Abbot will provide components for the C77/T700 engine family.

GE Aerospace has awarded a six-year contract for the manufacture of components for the T700/CT7 family of engines to Barnes Aerospace at its Newton Abbot, UK production facility. As part of the deal—which builds on more than three decades of cooperation between the two companies—Barnes will produce airfoils for the engines.

T700/CT7 engines are used on a variety of rotorcraft, including the Sikorsky Blackhawk family and on the manufacturer’s S-92 large-cabin commercial helicopter.
