Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

Norwich, UK-headquartered operator SaxonAir has built a fleet of 13 helicopters and jets, most recently with the addition of Embraer Phenom 300. The aircraft is the second Embraer jet in the fleet, joining a Legacy 500. It also continues to round out the company’s capabilities for a range of jet operations, from short hops to various European locations to longer range trips with aircraft such as the Gulfstream G550 and Bombardier Challenger 605 in its fleet.&nbsp;The Phenom has an 1,800-nm range, capable of transporting up to eight passengers from London to Moscow.

 


Saying the aircraft “strengthens SaxonAir’s European-wide presence significantly,” said SaxonAir charter sales manager Jack Hellewell. “Although we have aircraft based at Stansted, Luton, Farnborough,&nbsp;and Norwich, as well as Cannes in Southern France, we expect to keep this aircraft flying consistently with competitive point-to-point pricing.”

 


SaxonAir Charter flies 3,500 hours annually on charter missions throughout Europe, Russia, the Middle East, and Africa. Established in 2007, the company was sold in 2009 to Klyne Aviation and has continued to expand under that ownership.

 


In addition to its charter business, SaxonAir has built up a substantial flight-support operation, handling more than 10,000 movements and 700 metric tons of freight annually.&nbsp;It received a 10-year handling contract in 2010 at Norwich International Airport and a year later moved into its Business Aviation Centre there.
