This Eagle 407HP is the first to be configured for EMS use. Its increased payload capacities, fuel savings, and performance in hot and high conditions are the result of combining the airframe of the Bell 407 and the Honeywell HTS900 engine.
This Eagle 407HP is the first to be configured for EMS use. Its increased payload capacities, fuel savings, and performance in hot and high conditions are the result of combining the airframe of the Bell 407 and the Honeywell HTS900 engine.

Eagle Copters completed its first air medical conversion of a Bell 407 to its Eagle 407HP upgrade. The Eagle 407HP package features the Honeywell HTS900 engine with a dual centrifugal compressor, cooled turbine blades and nozzles, and a dual-channel Fadec. While this is the first EMS application, the conversion is currently flying on 18 aircraft that have collectively accumulated 6,000 hours time in service. It provides increased payload, fuel savings, and better hot and high performance compared to stock 407s.
