Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

OJets, which <a href="http://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/business-aviation/2018-04-06/ojets-kicks-charter-ops-global-challenger">last week launched a charter operation</a> in the Asia Pacific region with a Bombardier Global 6000 and Challenger 650, has acquired Slovenia-based business aviation services provider Elit’Avia. Based in Singapore, OJets had purchased the initial two aircraft through Minsheng Financial Leasing Co., but has laid out ambitious plans to quadruple its initial fleet over the next 90 days as it builds on its new charter and block-hour programs.

 


The acquisition of Elit’Avia, based in Ljubljana, accelerates that growth and gives OJets an anchor in the European aircraft management, charter, and aviation services market. With it, the number of owned and managed aircraft jumps from two to 23, and further brings to OJets “a decade-long wealth of operational experience,” the company said. OJets operations will be managed under Elit’Avia’s Maltese AOC, opening up global access, including flights to the U.S.

 


The combined entity will be led by Elit’Avia co-owner Nicholas Houseman, who will serve as OJets' CEO. Houseman, who has had a stake in Elit’Avia since 2011, founded Zenith Jet in 2008 and previously served with Bombardier. Elit’Avia chairman Michel Coulomb and CEO Puja Mahajan, meanwhile, will continue to manage the day-to-day operations and service the clients of Elit’Avia as a wholly owned subsidiary of OJets.

 


“OJets represents the optimization of luxury business aviation services,” Houseman said. “With our private fleet, we are offering services that respond to current market conditions by minimizing capital commitment and eliminating asset risk. Collectively, our clients will benefit from access to more aircraft and more pilots, and an extended global reach with fixed operations and offices in Asia, Europe, and North America.”
