EASA Flight-time Limit Proposal Raises Concerns by EBAA

Amendments would broaden flight-time limititation rules to cover air taxi, emergency medical service and single-pilot commercial operations.

An EASA notice of proposed amendment (NPA) that would revise and expand flight-time limitations (FTL) on certain operations has raised concerns from the European Business Aviation Association. It would broaden FTL rules to cover air taxi, emergency medical services and single-pilot commercial operations. The proposed amendments are also intended to ensure standardization and harmonization of requirements across the EU. Comments are due by January 31.
