Chad started his writing career at The Avion,&nbsp;the&nbsp;student newspaper at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida, serving as editor-in-chief before graduating with a bachelor's in aeronautical science. After a stint as managing editor at Professional Pilot&nbsp;magazine, he joined&nbsp;AIN in late 1998. The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) has launched a new State Advocacy Network (SAN), whereby association member volunteers in every state will serve as liaisons between member businesses, state legislatures and the association. SAN will allow NATA to identify “pertinent legislation and regulations ahead of their implementation in every state,” including airport and land use, security, taxation, aircraft noise and emissions, NATA president and CEO James Coyne said.
