Executive Flight, a 29-year-old FBO and charter and maintenance provider headquartered in Wenatchee, Wash., has opened a satellite repair station at Boeing Field in Seattle. Executive Flight has been maintaining its own air ambulance aircraft at Boeing Field for the past 14 years, according to Mike Mahood, director of maintenance for the charter operation and repair station accountable manager. "We saw the need for a high-quality retail maintenance operation [at Boeing Field] and decided to expand in that area," he said. The FAA issued the satellite repair station certificate on December 15. The Boeing Field facility employs six A&P mechanics, and that number should grow to 20 in the next two years. Executive Flight specializes in maintaining Bombardier Learjets and Challengers, Hawker Beechcraft Beechjets and King Airs, Twin Commanders and Cessna Caravans. Major work, including avionics repair and installations, is done at Wenatchee, including the 12,000-hour, 12-year demate inspection on Learjets. Mahood said that what sets Executive Flight apart is ≥the personal relationship we develop with our customers. We try to exceed customersπ expectations. If they bring an airplane in for inspection, we will do complete detailing on the airplane, polish leading edges and go out of our way to do extras. We do high-quality maintenance; you canπt see whatπs under a panel but you can see if thereπs a fingerprint on the aircraft.
