Aviation Development Group (ADG), in affiliation with Signature Flight Support, has announced plans to construct a private, master-planned hangar community at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) in Austin, Texas. When complete, the development will feature 69 individual condo-type hangars totaling approximately 215,000 sq ft, designed to house everything from single-engine aircraft to business jets as large as a Citation X.
The first phase of the development, tentatively scheduled to break ground early next year, consists of 23 hangars with a standard size of either 50-by-50 feet or 60-by-60 feet. As part of its construction plans, ADG can also accommodate customers who need to include crew quarters, restrooms or office space. Each hangar has standard features such as electrically controlled bi-fold doors, metal halide lighting and gated access. Optional amenities include polished concrete floors, security systems and compressed air, which ADG said makes the development appealing to small charter companies or corporate flight departments.
