Bird Aerosystems Debuts Missile Protection System for Airliners

AeroShield POD integrates Directional Infra-Red Counter Measure (DIRCM), missile launch detection sensors and flare dispensers.

Airborne security provider Bird Aerosystems (Hall 3 Stand E30) is launching here at the Paris Air Show its AeroShield POD protection system for commercial aircraft in its full configuration. The all-in-one system for narrowbody and widebody jets integrates Bird’s Airborne Missile Protection System (AMPS) with its Spreos Directional Infra-Red Counter Measure (DIRCM), as well as missile launch detection sensors and additional flare dispensers.
