Era Group recently became the first operator to take advantage of a new version of Sikorsky’s S-92 helicopter adapted to allow for an additional 1,200 lbs. of takeoff weight. This will allow for more payload or range and Sikorsky plans to offer the GWE kit as an upgrade for existing S-92s.
