Cirrus is adding a new airplane to its TRAC flight training product line, the Rotax 916-powered TRAC10 with a three-seat cabin, Garmin avionics, and the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS), with price starting at $499,000. Deliveries in the U.S. will begin in 2027, and elsewhere in 2028.

The turbocharged Rotax 916 iSc delivers 160 hp and burns as few as 5.9 gph at 65% power. More importantly, the engine runs on 100LL avgas, unleaded 91/94, and select blends of mogas. Engine control is electronic, simplifying operation. Flight training providers can monitor TRAC10 fleets with Cirrus IQ wireless transmission of aircraft data, integration with third-party debrief applications, and remote monitoring of fuel and coolant levels and oil temperature.
