Mark Huber is an aviation industry veteran who has worked in the flight training, aircraft sales, aircraft component, and airport development businesses. He has flight time in more than 50 different and diverse aircraft, including helicopters, aerobatic aircraft, vintage warbirds, jet fighters, business jets and turboprops, and transport-category aircraft. He has jumped out of several of these—on purpose—with a parachute. His defense and aviation journalism has been published in a variety of national and international periodicals.

Bell delivered one model 505 light single helicopter in the Baltic region and signed purchase agreements for four more at the European Rotors conference. Three of the aircraft were purchased by Bell’s new independent representative (IR) for the Baltic states, Airborne, and are destined for private customers and flight training. A fourth was purchased directly by a private customer. Bell also announced the delivery of a Bell 505 to a private customer.

 


A total of 78 Bell 505s have now been delivered across Europe out of more than 400 since 2017. Recent European deliveries include customers in the United Kingdom, Greece, Poland, and Switzerland.&nbsp;

 


“It’s exciting to see the demand for the Bell 505 continue to grow within Europe across many industries,” said Patrick Moulay, Bell senior v-p of&nbsp;international commercial sales. “We see great potential for Bell within the Baltics, and we are delighted to welcome Airborne to our ever-growing list of IRs across Europe to expand our support.”

 


The 505 is powered by the Safran Arrius 2R engine with dual-channel fadec and is equipped with the Garmin G1000H NXi avionics suite. The helicopter is used for a wide variety of missions and last year was certified by EASA to carry up to 2,000 pounds on its external cargo hook.&nbsp;
