Pipistrel Shows Electric Aircraft Options at Oshkosh

At EAA's AirVenture, the Slovenian airframer is displaying its range of aircraft, from self-launching sailplanes to electrically-powered, two-seaters.

Pipistrel's Alpha Electro is just one of the aircraft the Slovenian airframer is displaying and demonstrating at this year's EAA AirVenture.

Sport aircraft manufacturer Pipistrel is displaying a range of conventionally powered and electric aircraft this week at EAA AirVenture 2018. In addition to its Virus SW and Sinus Flex Rotax-engined, high-wing, light sport aircraft (LSA) and Taurus 503 self-launching sailplane, the Slovenia-based airframer has brought its electrically powered Alpha Electro and Taurus Electro, the world’s first two-seat electric aircraft, which are both currently in production and available for purchase. The company is conducting demonstrations of both electric aircraft during the show, along with aerial displays in the manufacturer’s showcase, this week at the show.
