Rans Newest Kit Will Be a Fast-build Project

Prototype of the S-21 Outbound is still under construction, but details will be available at AirVenture

Rans Aircaft is providing details on its new S-21 Outbound model at this year’s AirVenture show in Oshkosh this week (Booth 620-621 North Display Area). The prototype of the all-metal, high-wing single is still under construction. The Rans S-21 is designed for the 180-hp Titan engine, but can be configured for others, including Rotax models. With a planned useful load of 800 pounds, 150-mph cruise speed and 500-sm range, the S-21 can be assembled in either a tailwheel or nosewheel configuration. Main gear tires can range from standard-size 8.00-inch up to 26-inch tundra tires.
