Garmin Demos New Fighter Cockpit 'Experience'

Sim features integrated flight deck configuration selected for Textron's Scorpion, Diamond's new Dart 550, and TacAir's F-5 retrofits

Garmin International’s fighter cockpit simulator features dual Garmin touchscreen controllers, as well as a seamless interface between the integrated flight deck and L3’s ForceX Widow mission computer.

Garmin International is debuting at Farnborough International Airshow 2018 a fighter jet cockpit experience that showcases the U.S. company’s integrated flight deck technology. The cockpit simulator includes a large high-definition smart display, dual Garmin touchscreen controllers, and integrated mission controllers that can combine flight and mission data. It also showcases the seamless interface between the integrated flight deck and L3’s ForceX Widow mission computer, which provides the mission data, including weapons and targeting information.
