Raytheon Sees AESA Potential in Asia Pacific

Raytheon sees Taiwan, South Korea and Singapore as potential customers in the Asia Pacific region for the Raytheon Advanced Combat Radar, a drop-in active electronically scanned array radar for fourth-generation fighters such as the F-16 and F-18.

The U.S. strategic tilt toward the Asia Pacific region plays to Raytheon Co.’s strength in active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar, a key technology being used and sought by countries in the region to enhance the capabilities of their legacy fourth-generation fighters.
