Go Rentals has come a long way since its founding in 1995, according to founder and CEO Kaye Gitibin, who is attending his 27th consecutive NBAA-BACE this year.
From its beginning as a luxury rental car provider with seven vehicles based at the former Newport Jet Center at California's John Wayne Orange County Airport (KSNA), the company has grown to encompass 310 locations across the United States, with 26 added this year alone.
Gitibin told AIN he expects to add 15 more before year-end, adding that growth has come mainly due to word of mouth, as customers ask for the product at FBOs. “We have seen the bar for luxury raised in aviation, and everybody is trying to bring a form of luxury to make sure that the clients feel that they’re getting something new when they travel.”
Gitibin views the service the company provides as a link in the private aviation value proposition. “If they land, if the car is not there, if the car is the wrong car, is dirty, then the whole experience is ruined, so they trust us that we never fail them.”
On Wednesday, the company once again provided what has become one of the most anticipated moments on the show floor, when it raffled off a choice of a one-year lease on a Cadillac Escalade or the $12,000 cash equivalent.
“This event gives us the opportunity to thank our partners, our friends in aviation, because without them we couldn't be here,” Gitibin explained. “It’s an opportunity for us to shake their hands, thank them, and appreciate the opportunity they’ve given us to serve the guests, serve the clients, serve the pilots, and serve the passengers.”
