FlightPath3D has introduced BizAvStudio, a configuration suite that gives business aircraft manufacturers, completion centers, owners, and flight departments direct control over the appearance and behavior of the company’s in-flight moving map system.
Previously, operators had limited ability to modify map settings once an aircraft left the completion center, typically requiring software updates or vendor support to make changes. BizAvStudio allows users to adjust branding, add owner logos, configure flight information displays, and modify geopolitical settings without engineering intervention. According to the company, changes can be applied in minutes, including on aircraft already in service.
A component called BizAvStudio OnWing extends this capability post-delivery, enabling crew, flight departments, or owner representatives to update map configurations at any point in the aircraft’s operational life.
“BizAvStudio is not a feature; it is a new operational model,” said Duncan Jackson, president of FlightPath3D. “Configuration is no longer something that happens once at delivery. It’s something operators own for the life of the aircraft.”
FlightPath3D’s map platform flies on more than 1,500 private aircraft. Customers include Textron Aviation, which uses the platform on Citation deliveries, and Gogo, which embeds it in its Gogo Vision platform. Presidential and heads-of-state programs through Astronics, CMS, and DPI also use the system. BizAvStudio is available for both new and in-service aircraft.
