A lifelong aviation enthusiast who joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in 2007, Curt came to&nbsp;the publication&nbsp;from the broadcast industry where he was a national science and technology television reporter and producer. He writes on the FBO field, aviation finance, and sustainable aviation and occasionally contributes to&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;sister publication&nbsp;Business Jet Traveler. Curt was a member of the AINtv reporting staff that won the 2008 Aerospace Journalist of the Year award for Best Airshow Daily. That same year, he was a finalist for another AJOYA award. He earned an AJOYA for Best Business Aviation Submission in 2018 and was a finalist in that category in 2021. He received the National Air Transportation Association’s&nbsp; Aviation Journalist Award in 2012 and won a Pegasus Sapphire Business Aviation Award for outstanding journalism in 2021.
Before joining AIN, Curt worked with&nbsp;Consumer Reports’ television division, CRTV, and for several local television news staffs. An honors graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he earned a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University in 1995. Curt lives in New York State with his wife and two young sons.

The 2026 Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) show in Hamburg, Germany, will have a new twist with the introduction of an area dedicated to business jet interiors. AIX—which will celebrate its 25th anniversary—will be held at the Hamburg Messe from April 14 to 16 in conjunction with the World Travel Catering and Onboard Services Expo
Called the Bizjet Interiors Zone. the new area will&nbsp;be located in Hall B1, a high-traffic area in the heart of the event. It will be dedicated to the business aviation and eVTOL markets, the former of which is projected to grow from $48 billion this year to nearly $68 billion by 2032.&nbsp;Reflecting that potential, this year’s show featured 92 exhibitors specializing in business jet interiors, an increase of 53% over the 2024 edition.
According to show organizers, the new area will provide space for industry buyers, including operators, completion and refurbishment providers, and OEMs to view the latest technology and craftsmanship, as well as the finest materials, finishes, and design solutions.
It will be part of a larger business aviation presence on the show floor, which will also feature a dedicated designer runway for leading firms to present business jet-focused interior concepts.
“For years, exhibitors have told us they wanted a dedicated space to showcase the artistry and innovation happening in business aviation,” said Archana Dharni, AIX’s event director, adding that business jets are the industry’s testbed, and describing them as the place where ideas and solutions debut, long before they appear in commercial cabins. “This means visitors to the Bizjet Interiors Zone won’t just get a glimpse of the future of luxury cabin design; they’ll be experiencing the solutions that will genuinely shape the aircraft of tomorrow.”
