She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

Heads Up Technologies (HUT) acquired cabin management system (CMS) specialist Innovative Advantage, extending its capabilities in the business jet sector, the company said today.&nbsp;HUT acquired STG Aerospace in 2022 and Alto Aviation in 2023, making Innovative Advantage its third acquisition in three years.
Founded more than two decades ago, Innovative Advantage provides high-performance CMS infrastructure, particularly for large business jets. Its AVDS platform, which is installed on more than 2,000 aircraft,&nbsp;enables 4K video, audio, and Ethernet with low latency. The Kirkland, Washington-based company has a 40-person workforce, predominantly comprising engineers.
A developer of lighting, CMS/IFE, safety, and audio-engineered systems for commercial and business aircraft applications, Addison, Texas-based HUT said the acquisition is part of its strategy to extend its portfolio of proprietary technologies that enhance the cabin experience and infrastructure.
Innovative’s CMS systems pair with HUT’s expertise in lighting passenger interface and integrated cabin control systems, the companies said. When paired with Alto Aviation’s audio and aftermarket capabilities, the combined group can provide a fully integrated cabin experience, according to HUT.
