A lifelong aviation enthusiast who joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in 2007, Curt came to&nbsp;the publication&nbsp;from the broadcast industry where he was a national science and technology television reporter and producer. He writes on the FBO field, aviation finance, and sustainable aviation and occasionally contributes to&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;sister publication&nbsp;Business Jet Traveler. Curt was a member of the AINtv reporting staff that won the 2008 Aerospace Journalist of the Year award for Best Airshow Daily. That same year, he was a finalist for another AJOYA award. He earned an AJOYA for Best Business Aviation Submission in 2018 and was a finalist in that category in 2021. He received the National Air Transportation Association’s&nbsp; Aviation Journalist Award in 2012 and won a Pegasus Sapphire Business Aviation Award for outstanding journalism in 2021.
Before joining AIN, Curt worked with&nbsp;Consumer Reports’ television division, CRTV, and for several local television news staffs. An honors graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he earned a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University in 1995. Curt lives in New York State with his wife and two young sons.

Tamarack Aerospace has expanded its authorized active winglet service network by adding Toledo Jet Center as a winglet dealer and installation center.&nbsp;According to the manufacturer, the winglets—which can be installed in less than 10 days—offer performance benefits, including fuel burn reduction, improved climb performance, and extended range.
Tamarack has approval for the installation of its active winglets on all eight variants of the Cessna CitationJet/CJ1/M2, CJ2, and CJ3 in the U.S., European Union, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.
Toledo Jet—founded in 2009 after Textron Aviation closed its Toledo, Ohio service center—recently <a href="https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/business-aviation/2025-01-24/ohio-based-mro-now-under-new-ownership">changed hands</a>. “We are excited about the partnership with Tamarack Aerospace and the opportunities it brings,” said industry veteran and new CEO Greg Fell. “We believe Toledo Jet Center is well-positioned for significant growth due to the high demand for Tamarack active winglets.”
The MRO provider operates facilities at Toledo Express Airport (KTOL) and in Florida at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (KFXE). Toledo Jet specializes in supporting Cessna Citations.
“Tamarack Aerospace Group has made a great move by expanding its dealership network with Toledo Jet,” said Eric Cunningham, Tamarack’s v-p of sales. “These locations ensure CitationJet operators can easily access our factory-trained installation services, enhancing their aircraft performance and safety with every flight.”
