A lifelong aviation enthusiast who joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in 2007, Curt came to&nbsp;the publication&nbsp;from the broadcast industry where he was a national science and technology television reporter and producer. He writes on the FBO field, aviation finance, and sustainable aviation and occasionally contributes to&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;sister publication&nbsp;Business Jet Traveler. Curt was a member of the AINtv reporting staff that won the 2008 Aerospace Journalist of the Year award for Best Airshow Daily. That same year, he was a finalist for another AJOYA award. He earned an AJOYA for Best Business Aviation Submission in 2018 and was a finalist in that category in 2021. He received the National Air Transportation Association’s&nbsp; Aviation Journalist Award in 2012 and won a Pegasus Sapphire Business Aviation Award for outstanding journalism in 2021.
Before joining AIN, Curt worked with&nbsp;Consumer Reports’ television division, CRTV, and for several local television news staffs. An honors graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he earned a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University in 1995. Curt lives in New York State with his wife and two young sons.

The airport-run FBO at the UK’s Brighton City Airport (EGKA) is the newest member of “The Collection,” a group of facilities affiliated with the Weston Aviation FBO chain.&nbsp;The Collection was established by Weston to further expand its reach by working with other airport owners and independent FBOs, offering them network benefits and assisting with development.
“We are pleased to be joining Weston Aviation’s UK and Ireland network of locations, which comes at a perfect time for us as we look to relaunch our FBO services with a new facility and direction,” said EGKA managing director Rob Cooke.
Brighton—one of the oldest continually licensed airfields in the UK and one of the country's busiest general aviation airports—in August moved its private aviation facility to a new standalone executive terminal. It offers an onsite restaurant, reception area, passenger lounge, kitchen, conference room, and pilot lounge, as well as in-house customs and immigration services.
“We look forward to working closely with Rob and the team to assist them in further developing their business aviation activity at the airport and offer our support in the regional airport FBO market,” said Weston founder and CEO Nick Weston.
Weston currently operates facilities at Gloucestershire, Cornwall Newquay, Humberside, and Manchester airports, along with Cork Airport in Ireland. Associated members include London Southend and Cambridge City airports.
