Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

Airbus Corporate Jets (Booth Z55) is working with CTT Systems to increase the humidity of its ACJ320 family. On Tuesday at EBACE 2019, the companies announced the signing of an MOU on a cabin humidity system.

 


Cabin humidity is typically low in bizliner cabins, Airbus Corporate Jets said, but added CTT’s aircraft humidity control systems can increase humidity to better than 20 percent by the continuous introduction of moisture. This improves the comfort level throughout the aircraft cabin, the company said.

 


“Introducing the option of better cabin humidification is part of our focus on continually improving the travel experience,” said Airbus Corporate Jets president Benoit Defforge. The system will particularly benefit passengers on long-haul flights, reducing dry-air related problems such as fatigue, jet lag, red eyes, dry skin, and the spread of viruses. Increased humidity further improves sleep, the company added.

 


The CTT VIP Inflight Humidification system uses evaporating cooling technology to avoid the transfer of bacteria and improve air quality. Offering total anti-condensation protection, the system combines a dryer to avoid moisture build-up in insulation blankets and provides for balanced humidity.

 


“Our shared goal is to create evenly distributed humidification through the VIP cabins of ACJs, while minimizing the potable water needed, bringing the benefit of our airliner experience to the world of private jets in an optimized and economic way,” said Peter Landquist, v-p of sales and marketing at CTT.
