He has flight time in more than 50 different and diverse aircraft, including helicopters, aerobatic aircraft, vintage warbirds, jet fighters, business jets and turboprops, and transport-category aircraft. Leonardo Helicopters (Booth C3225) has signed a deal with the UK’s Sloane Helicopters for the delivery of an AW109 Trekker and one AW109SP GrandNew. The light twins are expected to deliver between now and 2019 as part of Leonardo’s distributorship agreement with Sloane, which has taken delivery of two GrandNews and one new VIP AW169, as well as conducted the sale of four preowned AW109s over the last 12 months.

 


Sloane has been a Leonardo distributor for the UK and Ireland for 22 years and sold more than 75 aircraft to date, and is the launch customer for the Trekker in the territory. Leonardo’s distributorship agreement with Sloane reduces delivery times and provides customers with a full range of product support.

 


Sloane Helicopters is an authorized Leonardo service center and provides type rating training. Customers include the 32 (Royal) Squadron of the UK Royal Air Force, which flies the GrandNew for Command Support Air Transport (CSAT) for senior military commanders and government ministers in the UK and Europe.
