Kerry Lynch stepped into the role of editor of the&nbsp;Aviation International News&nbsp;monthly magazine in May 2022 after serving with&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;for eight years. She joined&nbsp;AIN&nbsp;in December 2014 as a senior editor covering Washington and business aviation news. She has also served on Convention News teams, including as editor of&nbsp;HAI Convention News. Lynch previously spent 25 years with Aviation Week. During her time there, she reported for and later steered&nbsp;The Weekly of Business Aviation, oversaw business aviation content on the&nbsp;Aviation Week Intelligence Network, served on the&nbsp;Show News&nbsp;staff, and held roles as the Washington columnist for&nbsp;Business &amp; Commercial Aviation&nbsp;and&nbsp;Overhaul &amp; Maintenance&nbsp;monthly magazines. In 2021 she was honored with the National Business Aviation Association Platinum Wing Award for lifetime achievement in journalism and was the 2004 recipient of the National Air Transportation Association’s Aviation Journalism Excellence Award. She also has been a recipient of an Aerospace Media Award for business aviation (2022) and NBAA Gold Wing Award (2003, 2024). Lynch graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of arts in journalism.

Kansas City-based investment firm Curran Companies has taken a&nbsp;controlling&nbsp;interest in Executive AirShare through an investment that company executives said will enable the regional fractional ownership provider to grow into new markets.&nbsp;Executive AirShare founder Bob Taylor and investor Dave Murfin maintain “significant ownership” in the enterprise but Curran will control the business, reformed under a new LLC. Terms of the investment were not disclosed.

 


“Executive AirShare’s business is poised for substantial growth, especially to new cities near our existing geographical footprint,” said Curran president Wiley Curran. “We see significant opportunities to leverage technology on top of the current business model to produce an even better service for our customer base. We want to be the middle market’s flight department.”

 


Curran Companies, a father-and-son venture, became Phenom 300 shareowners through Executive AirShare in 2013. They complete their investment as Executive AirShare takes delivery of its 10th Phenom 300 and a Beechcraft King Air 350i.

 


“The Curran group brings enthusiasm, business experience and capital to support the company’s expansion into new markets,” said Taylor. “I have truly enjoyed the last 15-plus years and look forward to future participation.”
