Rockwell Collins recently approved Duncan Aviation as an authorized service provider for repair, service and modification of its TDR-94 and TDR-94D transponders. The TDR-94D transponder is a solid-state, crystal-controlled receiver/transmitter designed for Tcas II-equipped business aircraft. The units can be upgraded to meet the upcoming ADS-B mandate for 2020.
Duncan is offering repair, installations and upgrade modifications of these units at its main facility in Lincoln, Nebraska, as well as through its satellite avionics facilities throughout the U.S. The agreement allows Duncan Aviation to repair and service transponders with Rockwell Collins part numbers 622-9352-002 through -008, -108, -207, -308-311, -408-411 and -500-501; and 622-9210-002 through -008, -108, -207, -308-311, -408-411 and -500-501. The company will also be able to modify earlier transponders to the -500-501 series, which will meet the ADS-B mandate when properly installed and certified.
Duncan Aviation’s authorization is for transponders from aircraft in North and South America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. This agreement makes Duncan Aviation the only non-OEM facility authorized for the repair and upgrade.
