After outsourcing the management of its FBO since 2007, the Greater Lafourche Port Commission has taken over operation of the FBO at South Lafourche Leonard Miller Jr. Airport after the departure of the most recent operator, CHI. The GA field, which bills itself as the “fastest growing airport in the state of Louisiana,” sees 30,000 airplane and rotorcraft operations a year. The airport completed a major renovation of the 2,500-sq-ft terminal last month. The facility also features a 10,000-sq-ft hangar that can accommodate aircraft up to a GV.
