Jet Aviation last month won a contract from an undisclosed client in Asia to complete the interiors of a pair of Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The deal represents the company’s first completions contract from the Asia Pacific region and it expects to deliver the widebody jets from its facility in Basel, Switzerland in the third quarter of 2018, and work has already begun on the project.
“This is our first entry into the Asian market for completions and I don’t believe it will be our last,” said Jet Aviation president Robert Smith. The work on the completion of the two 777s is being done through close cooperation with Boeing, which managed a highly competitive bidding process on behalf of its client. “These completions projects are always unique, regardless of which region the customer comes from, and all of us at Jet Aviation want to deliver a product that truly reflects the individual tastes of the owner,” he told AIN.
