Web-based Helo Noise-tracking System Goes Live in L.A.

Allows Los Angeles Basin residents to review and identify helicopter operations and file a noise complaint about them.

The helicopter industry, airport partners and the FAA launched an online automated complaint system (ACS) WebTrak application that allows Los Angeles Basin residents to review and identify helicopter operations and file a noise complaint about them. The system is part of the Los Angeles Helicopter Noise Initiative launched by the FAA in 2012, and data from it will be used by the FAA to increase community understanding and to formulate helicopter noise-abatement solutions.
