Prince William Begins Day Job as Civil Helo Pilot

Former Royal Air Force search-and-rescue helicopter pilot will start flying missions this summer for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Prince William—who is second in line to the British throne behind his father, Prince Charles—began his civil helicopter flying career in the UK on Tuesday. “The Duke of Cambridge has started work as an employee of Bond Air Services,” Kensington Palace said in a statement. His annual salary, reported to be $59,000, will be donated to charity, it added.
