Helicopter Safety Program Released

The five- to six-minute presentations could cover nearly 20 topics by year-end.

The U.S. Helicopter Safety Team (USHST) last month released its new audio-slide presentation series called “Reel Safety,” aimed at enhancing helicopter safety. The first collection of Reel-Safety topics are emergency decision making; controlled flight into terrain; inadvertent entry Into cloud or fog; training to survive a real autorotation; energy in autorotations; and setting the right example.
