State of Union TFR Bans Flights over Washington, D.C.

GA operations inside flight restricted zone are prohibited between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.

The FAA issued a temporary flight restriction for tonight’s State of the Union address. It bans general aviation operations inside the Washington, D.C. flight restricted zone (DC FRZ) between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. local time on January 20. The restriction prohibits GA operations at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), Washington Executive Airport/Hyde Field (W32), Potomac Airfield (VKX) and College Park Airport (CGS), and it also applies to DCA Access Standard Security Program (DASSP)-approved operators.
